Who are we?
We are volunteers looking to help make a positive difference in the lives of both the children and adults in our communities. While Kiwanis is an international network of like-minded members, our club mainly focuses on the Rockaways in the New York City borough of Queens. Our footprint is from Breezy Point to Far Rockaway and includes the island of Broad Channel.
We are a non-political, non-religious organization welcoming people from all walks of life, and would love for you to consider joining us.
What do we do?
We Volunteer! ...like that time we partnered with the Queens Public Library and NYC's Foodbank and Mobile Pantry to help distribute food to 150 of Rockaway's families this past holiday season. ...or like that time we partnered with the 100th Police Precinct to distribute Back-to-School backpacks full of supplies to local children.
We Fundraise! ...like that time we hosted an amazingly fun night of Radio Bingo© that included a penny social, raffles, and door prizes. ...or that Boardwalk Walk-a-Thon.
We Give Back! ...like that time we were able to send several local kids for swim lessons in an effort to help prevent an all too-common tragedy that occurs here in The Rockaways.
Where are we?
We meet the third Thursday of every month at 7 p.m. at Rogers Pub & Hotel, located at 205 Beach 116th St, Queens, NY 11694.
